Automation Technologies (Robotics)

This course is for the student who is serious about a career in the pathway of advanced manufacturing. It includes classroom and laboratory experiences that prepare students with technical knowledge and skills to design, program and maintain automated equipment, including robotics. Topics develop diagnostic and problem-solving skills related to electric circuits, wiring, motors, PLC's, robotics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Automation Technologies is offered through Vincennes University's Early College Program. This program offers opportunities for numerous college credits as a result of successfully completing the course. These credits when combined with qualifying dual credits in English and math earned at the student's high school may be applied toward an associate degree from VU.

Recommended prerequisite or concurrent enrollment: Algebra II.  Recommended prerequisites: Introduction to Manufacturing or Introduction to Advanced Manufacturing.
