on Employment Skills
Recently, students participated in two intensive days of specific employability skill development. With the goal of every Hinds Career Center program to prepare students for the workforce, this event is designed to give soon to be graduating students an advantage in searching for, getting and keeping career employment.
The first day’s sessions featured A.J .Walker, Red Gold, Inc. Director of Talent Acquisition and Centralized Staffing, Marcy Fry, Executive Director of the Elwood Chamber of Commerce, and Brad Harris, Vice President of Healthcare Development for Miller’s Health Systems, Inc. presenting seminars on an array of employability skills including professionalism in the workplace, interviewing, and presentation skills.

Students Visit Subaru-Isuzu Production Facility
Students in the Collision Repair and auto Service Technology programs recently toured the Subaru-Isuzu Assembly facility in Lafayette, IN. Students observed the logistics, technology and workplace skills necesary for quality production ans successful employment.
